Telus World of Science

I took the kids to Telus World of Science, where they have a new gallery called Discoveryland just for toddlers and young children. They both loved it and had so much fun.

One of Sabrina's favorite parts was the airplane that she could "fly" in. She loved to just sit in the seat and look out the window. They even had a little trolley with a glass on it in case the kids wanted to be stewardesses and serve the other kids on the plane. There was also the pilot and co-pilot seats complete with lots of buttons and levers, but those were the prime seats and were always full, and Sabrina was content to just sit in her very own seat.
Owen like to just wander around and explore...

Sabrina discovered the giant piano that she could run across and play songs on, kind of like in the movie "Big"
Sabrina's friend Logan, who joined us at the science centre, also liked the piano.

Another favorite for both kids was the water-play area. The giant water table had lots of neat waterfalls and other water features with dozens of balls for the kids to throw in the water. Too bad I didn't learn about the water-proof aprons for the kids until after they were soaked! At least I brought a change of clothes for each of them :)

There was also a toddler-only area, made to look like outerspace. This was one of Owen's favorite areas - and mine too because it was a closed-in area with no chance of the kids escaping! Plus everything was made of foam, so they couldn't get hurt either.
